This is Henganofi School during the celebration of the opening of the new toilets.

 

 

This school at Ombarda is built with plaited bamboo walls with a grass roof.
Asaro School. This school built out of permanent materials is on the Highlands Highway. It has a corrugated roof which can be used to collect water.
On the last day of school for the year, these girls were collecting wood to cook lunch. Notice that they are all wearing a string bag (billum).
These people are repairing the road. Many roads look like this. Most of the villagers walk from their villages down to the Highlands Highway and catch a PMV (Public Motor Vehicle) from there.
