This is Henganofi School during the celebration of the opening of the new toilets.

 

 

This school at Ombarda is built with plaited bamboo walls with a grass roof.
Asaro School. This school built out of permanent materials is on the Highlands Highway. It has a corrugated roof which can be used to collect water.
On the last day of school for the year, these girls were collecting wood to cook lunch. They are all wearing a string bag (billum).
These people are repairing the road. Many roads look like this. Most of the villagers walk from their villages down to the Highlands Highway and catch a PMV (Public Motor Vehicle) from there.
