Limehills School

Glen Eden Intermediate

Our school is famous in West Auckland! We are very successful in sporting and cultural events. Our class, Room 19, want to put our school on the NZ map by having creative and innovative ideas. We are very hands on and we are really looking forward to working on this project. We also hope that we can help the people in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea.

Lincoln Primary

We are a year 5/6 extension creative thinking group at Lincoln Primary in the Selwyn District about 15 minutes from Christchurch. Our group consists of 17 students. We only meet twice a week so we will have to do some of our project work at home. There are around 400 students at our school. Lincoln Primary has an awesome reputation. We often win out of school competitions and we are really nice to newcomers. We have a lot of school events –this term we have our Athletic Sports and a Pet Day.

Our landmark is Lincoln University. Lincoln has great sporting facilities. In the early 1960s Lincoln had a railway station but that got demolished. At the end of last year the rail trail was opened – lots of people either ride their bikes or walk along it. It runs all the way from Lincoln to Prebbleton to Little River.

We are looking forward to getting started on our work for this project.

Bailey Road School

We are a Year 7 and 8 extension class (aka GATE class) at Bailey Road Primary and Intermediate.  Our school is situated on Bailey Road in Mount Wellington which is where we get our name.  Mount Wellington is a suburb of Auckland.  The mountain we are named after is a small extinct (we hope) volcano which you can climb up and get great views from.  We have the biggest mall in New Zealand called Sylvia Park just down the road from school.

Our class this year is quite small and we meet once a week for a couple of hours.  We are looking forward to doing the project and having to think creatively to find solutions for the hand washing problem.
