John La Roche - Water Engineer

John has been involved in water engineering for the past 40 years including 15 years as Director of Water for Survival, a NZ charity which raised funding for water supply and sanitation projects in some of the world's poorest countries including Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, India, Nepal and Papua New Guinea.

Professor Pauline Norris - sociologist

Pauline is a sociologist who is interested in health and healthcare in developing countries. She is particularly concerned about inappropriate use of antibiotics, especially in developing countries. Pauline is a professor of social pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy, University of Otago, and a member of the Dunedin Water for Survival committee.

Sally Gaw - environmental chemist

Sally is an environmental chemist with an interest in public health based in Christchurch.

Hugh Thorpe - civil engineer

Hugh is a civil engineer who has specialised in water engineering and science for almost his entire career. For more than thirty years he has specialised in groundwater science and engineering. He is now a research associate in the Civil and Natural Resources Department at the University of Canterbury where he has taught groundwater hydrology and environmental science. He also has supported Oxfam Water for Survival for about 15 years.

Dr Elaine Moriarty - water microbiologist

Dr Elaine Moriarty is a microbiologist in the Environmental Microbiology group of ESR in Christchurch specialising in water microbiology.
