Timeline
Registration and introductions - Week 1, Monday 12 October.
Research - Weeks 2 & 3, Monday 19 October
Students learn about the natural behaviour and the threats against the yellow-eyed penguin.
Restoration plans started - Week 4, Monday 2 November
Students design a yellow-eyed penguin-friendly habitat restoration plan and help build a community by adding student-friendly yellow-eyed penguin information to the site.
Restoration plans completed - Week 7, Thursday 26 November
These plans are displayed on the site and our experts make comment on their viability.
Because our experts come from all over the country, and because this is an online project, everything should be submitted in digital format. This means that students (in groups) should email a:
- Graphic of their restoration plan
- A photograph of a drawing of their restoration plan
- A photo of a model of the restoration plan
- Or, some innovative way of displaying a yellow-eyed restoration plan I hadn’t thought of
As long as the experts can tell * EXACTLY * what your plan is about from the image and the additional explanation you are fine.
Feedback - Week 8, Monday 30 November
The expert’s feedback on your plans will be shown on this site.
Certificates - Week 9, Monday 7 December
