Hello.
We are Room 4 from Waimataitai School in Timaru.
We are Yr 3 students. There are 26 children in our class.
It is going to be fun doing this project because we like
building. We think it will be hard too. We have done some
drawings about art from Papua New Guinea. We have a website
you can visit at www.waimataitai4.blogspot.com.
Good luck everybody.
Room

are a class of 26 children, who are in Year 4, working with
the other classes in our Learning Team. We enjoy discovering
new ideas and information, especially about things we do
not know about. We have found information on the websites
and are looking forward to a visitor from Papua New Guinea
who is coming to visit us.
During
this year we have had many adventures from school
visiting our local wetlands, Skating at Lake Tekapo on the
ice and visiting a local Chinese Restaurant for lunch.
We
also enjoy many different types of sport anything
from basketball and netball to cricket, soccer, and rugby.
We are all enjoying practising for athletics and look forward
to these coming up soon.
Our
class has just had a lot of fun performing a play about
early New Zealand and the Maori Myths and legends that we
read, wrote and discovered during term 3.
At
the moment we are finding out information about Papua New
Guinea and enjoying it. We look forward to finding
out more about Papua New Guinea and hand washing.

Hi
there! We are Aimee, Neda, Adelaide, and Caitlyn
from St Mary's College, Auckland. We are all in Year 8 and
we are called Team 1. We enjoy music, sport and reading.
We are located in Ponsonby and are close to the city. We
are an extention class and are looking forward to helping
create a hand washing system for schools in Papua New Guinea.
We feel special to be able to do something for a country
that is needing this. We hope to create a system that is
compatible to their needs.
An
introduction from us: Year 8 team 2 St Marys
College. We are a team of four Year 8 students from St Marys
College in Auckland. We are entering the Wara Bilong Challenge
because we come from a Mercy school and believe in equality
throughout the world. We are really looking forward to the
challenge especially since it is for a good cause.
Hi
Everyone. We are Emily (Year 10) and Annabel (Year 9) from
St. Mary's College in Ponsonby, Auckland. Our school is
full of heritage and history as it was established by the
Mercy Sisters in 1850, and charity and helping those
is need is a very large part of what we are taught at our
school. We have never taken part in this programme and we
are interested how we as individuals could help the wider
world. We are also interested to compare the life and facillities we
have in Auckland, a large city by New Zealand standards,
to the way of life and facillities in Papua New Guinea.
My
name is Rachel and I am in year 10 at St. Mary's
College in Ponsonby, Auckland. In my spare time, I do Kiaido
Ryu Martial Arts (as an orange belt) and practise my viola.
I am interested in geology and when I grow up, I would like
to be a volcanologist. I live in South Auckland with my
parents, younger sister and my two cats, Maxie and Oscar.
I also enjoy Science Fiction Movies, such as Serenity, Final
Fantasy and Back to the Future, and my favourite books are
the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer.
This
is Alisha, Annie and Danielle and we are all in Year
9. We are St Mary's College Year 9 Team 2. Our school has
a special Mercy character and we believe that with our Mercy
spirit and values, we can help the students of Papua New
Guinea to find a way of reliable hand washing methods.
Hey
everybody! We are a group of Year 9 students from St Marys
College, Auckland.
Our names are Tahlia, Emily and Waverley. We have
been working as a team for almost
a year now and really enjoy it. Tahlia enjoys ballet, Emily
horse riding and Waverely art. We are all united in our
love of the Twilight Book Series, Peanuts, Ducks and Future
Problem Solving. We loved the idea of working towards such
a great cause, and we all loved working together, so here
we are! We are very excited about starting this 'Water For
Survival' programme as we are sure it will be a very fun
and challenging event, and we know it's for a great cause!!
We
are Stephanie, Annabel and Kate. We are all in year
9 at St Mary's College in the
heart of Ponsonby, Auckland. Our school is very passionate
about the needs of others
around us, hence why we do different mission activities
throughout the year. We want to do this particular activity
to further enhance our knowledge of hygiene around the world
and out of our school's Mercy spirit. We hope we are able
to assist the hygiene issues in Papua New Guinea and we
look forward to taking part in this activity.
